Will You have The Weirdest Halloween Costume This Year

by Ron George

Halloween costumes really say something about the people wearing them and some people wish to accentuate a certain trait. Rockabilly music lovers may want to dress up in full 1950s Greaser garb or video gamers may want to dress themselves as a game controller. If you’re languishing over the fact that you only have a couple of weeks left and you still have no idea what you’re going to wear, then check out www.weirdhalloweencostumes.org for super time-sensitive, last-minute express shipping.

Some of the weirdest costumes are the ones people create and formulate themselves. For example, some children paint themselves all black and dress in black (with blue or red colored sleeves and add some iPod accessories), while carrying matching backdrops, to go as the classic iPod advertisement! Other children dress up as the “Koolaid” man and have two friends dress as pieces of the wall he was busting through. You can dress as a “Holy Cow,” as the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson or as one of the “Royal Tenenbaums” in a red cord jacket, sweatband, faux fur and eyeliner.

You can get decked out like “Nick Nolte’s Mug Shot” by wearing a Hawaiian shirt and messing up your hair, or you may want to use that Hawaiian garb to go with your moustache and sunglasses, you know like the dead guy in “Weekend at Bernies.” Imagine the laughter at the costume party when you arrive as a lawn gnome, pine tree air freshener or paper doll!

If you are brave and resilient, then you may want to choose Halloween masks and costume accessories to complete your look this year. For instance, the latest Batman movie is bound to bring a host of Jokers, Batmans and Two-faces. You can find some great adult costumes at http://www.weirdhalloweencostumes.org or you can make your own. Men can choose a costume design from Edward Scissorhands, 300, Willy Wonka, Pirates of the Caribbean, Predator, Ghost Rider or the Monty Python Black Knight.

Additionally, there are a number of suitable time period Halloween costumes. You can be a 1920s flapper, Bugsy Malone, Gatsby girl, or zoot suit dancer. You can be a 1950s greaser, rocker girl, car hop, jitter bug dancer, pinup girl, cigarette girl, bowler, Buddy Holly, prom king, beatnik or Elvis. You can choose a number of 1960s characters, including Gilligan, The Beatles, Woodstock hippies, Janis Joplin or a go-go girl. From the 1970s, you can get ready to disco dance, whereas the 1980s bring old school rappers, nerds, heavy metal rockers and pop stars. It should also be noted that most of these costumes go for far less than $100!

Lots of robots and halloween costumes

Someone built life size halloween costumes inestment for people searching attention. You can imagine going to the form of Optimus Prime. These particular halloween costumes were made into a video that was watched over 5 million times on the internet. One would think that an adult costume manufacturer would see the demand and interest in a adult costume in the form of Optimus Prime. Although this costume would obviously be expensive, there would be enough people that would pay the price for this unique outfit. There are many Transformers movie coming out in the future and the price to pay for a attention grabbing costume would be a great inva movie premiere in this costume and all the people that would want to take pictures and images of a life sized Optimus Prime. This costume could even be bigger than the movie itself as it would leave a memorable mark in people’s mind. Everyone that saw the movie with this Optimus Prime costume would definitely think of the person wearing the costume first before the movie. There are definitely some freaks out there that would love to be that person, and if the costume cost them a large portion of their paychecks, I’m sure they would not mind. Lucky for me, transformers 2 comes out this summer, I cannot wait.

Awesome Halloween Costumes

A few years ago Lord of The Rings halloween costumes was in. During opening nights, you would see so many people wearing these halloween costumes. The halloween costumes that could be seen at these premiers ranged from Frodo to Gandolf to Legolas. My favorite of these adult costumes would certainly be the short tiny troll that fought next to Legolas. These costumes were a great idea to show one’s fanatical affinity to this movie. This movie was trilogy and based off of a famous book written by Tolkien. I was glad they made this movie, because it was a great way to spend 4 hours. Can you imagine watching a four hour movie wearing a troll costume? Someone has to be extremely dedicated to doing such a thing. Wearing a itchy costume for 4 hours trying to pay attention is beyond my capabilities and would be the capability of a true fanatic. In certain groups, people would dress up as these characters and wage pretend fights and wars, mimicking sequences and scenes from the movie itself. I’m not sure if that would be for me at such a grown age, but I’m sure it would have been fun when I was younger and had more of an imagination. I have read all the books but needed to see it in person and I did just that.

Home Decor Halloween Arts and Crafts That Are Fun to Make

by Kathy Pratts

Imaging how fun and exciting it would be to make Halloween arts and crafts and transform you home into one of the scariest haunted houses in town for one night! Your kids will absolutely love this idea. All you need is a theme, some accessories, appropriate lighting and sound effects.

Cemetery Halloween Arts and Crafts Theme

Coffins, bones, stone hedges, and dead bodies are appropriate for a cemetery theme.

Use a cardboard box for your very own coffin! Also get a large-size cardboard piece and cut out the shape of a coffin for the opening/cover. Paint a red or white cross over the top of the coffin.

To create the sound of stepping over a mass of bones, you can place crisply toasted bread under an area rug near the coffin.

Use a Styrofoam for a tombstone, paint them gray, and write R.I.P. over them with a marker. You can also write your names or guest’s names for that spooky feeling.

You can make body parts by stuffing rubber/latex gloves with cotton and painting the opening red for that bloody effect.

For a realistic touch to your home decor, you can fill goblets with blood and display them in hallways and your dining area! This will enhance that vampire-in-coffin feel. You can purchase clear plastic goblets and have fun mixing red food coloring. Make the blood thicker by adding cornstarch to the mixture.

A Pumpkin Yard Halloween Arts And Crafts Theme

For a truly chilling Halloween arts and crafts pumpkin theme, you don’t always have to use real pumpkins. Use other fruits such as green bell peppers and mandarins and place tea candles in them to create scary faces.

For an old, creepy, deserted look you can spread dried leaves along the hallway and on tables. Hang sticks in your porch. Place plastic spiders, rats and eyeballs within the mass of dead leaves and sticks.

Another Halloween arts and crafts idea is to make a very scary scarecrow for your pumpkin yard. Hang an old, dusty shirt over a clothes hanger. Staple the bottom part of the shirt and stuff it with hay or dead grass. Use dead branches for the arms. Then, use a witch’s hat for the covered scarecrow head. Punch a hole in the hat where the hook of the hanger can go through. Hang the body over windows, doors or cabinet handles.

Shred cotton for cobwebs and spread all over the place for each theme. You can also use washable paint on your windows-you can either use spooking green all over or apply splashes of red for “blood”.

For an eerie lighting effect, you can simply replace your white bulbs with black, orange or red ones. You can also cover lamps with colored cloth or netting for eerie shadows.

For frightening sounds, you can easily download them online. Choose sounds of creaking doors, howling wolves, screaming, and ghosts.

Decorating your home with Halloween arts and crafts is as easy as choosing a theme, adding basic Halloween props, altering your lighting and downloading music over the Internet. Just try to be creative and have fun while decorating!
